The Congress aims to develop and improve mechanisms for the Government and NGOs cooperation in their efforts to improve the quality of life of Russian citizens.
The Programme covers relevant topics with regard to health management by both Governmental and nongovernmental agencies:
- current issues in healthcare development;
- establishing of the System of Public Control in healthcare and the surveillance on execution of laws and decisions in effect in healthcare;
- current issues in provision of pharmaceutical care in Russia;
- cooperation between the professional medical and patient communities: facts and perspectives.
On the 25th of November, during the Congress plenary session, there will be a press-briefing of the V Russian Congress of Patients held with Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Veronika Skvortsova.
On the 26th of November, the round table of the V Russian Congress of Patients will be held on establishing the System of Public Control in healthcare. Participants will include representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health, Civic Chamber, and also the State Duma (Parliament), Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Finance, Federal Antimonopoly Service, Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare and other relevant governmental and nongovernmental agencies, professional medical and patient communities.
The congress attendees will also have training workshops and sessions on the issues of cooperation between the government and society, as well as on nongovernmental organisations efficiency enhancement to improve the quality of healthcare services.
