The world turned UN blue
Saturday, October 24, 2015 8:04 PMThe whole world met the call of the UN to turn blue to celebrate the UN's 70th anniversary in October. People around the globe saw over 350 landmarks in more than 80 countries, which lit blue. This official colour of the United Nations is easily recogised in every corner of the world – the colour of peace, life and hope the UN seeks and brings.
The anniversary did not bypass Russia. One of the central streets of its capital turned in blue, too. Please, take a journey around the world to enjoy the places we have known since childhood lit in the official UN colour.
The RuMSS’ Russian language web-site for featuring events and news related to the UN also turned blue. We agreed to mark the anniversary by recalling what has tied us up during the past three years while having the consultative status with ECOSOC, UN.
